Quantitative Determination of Epa and Dha in Fish Oil Capsules for Cardiovascular Disease Therapy in Indonesia by Gc-Ms

Background The consumption of EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid), and DHA (docosahexaenoic from fish oil, in the long run, has been observed to have a positive impact on patients with coronary heart disease. Fish oil products, so much content are available, very variable prices. Therefore, as therapy be used for long-term treatment, cost factor is considered. Design methods This study analyzed DHA, using GC-MS. sample was that lowest price (Product A1), highest A2). Furthermore, macroscopic analysis performed, by observing physical form including organoleptic qualitative tests, reading fragments identified DHA.
